Cristina was enjoying a game of competitive Badminton with her family when she realized that her gold pendant was missing from the chain around her neck. Her pendant has a very nice story behind it, so the whole family searched the yard trying to locate it, but ultimately they could not find it. Cristina’s husband has a matching pendant in silver, so finding the lost item would mean the world to her. Cristina found “The Ring Finders” online and I received a call from her to come out and search for her lost pendant. I informed Cristina that I would be out to do the search the next afternoon as it worked best for both of our schedules.
The next afternoon I arrived at Cristina’s house and was greeted by her and four of her young children who were very enthusiastic about me looking for their mom’s lost pendant. It was very cute how they set up a blanket on the ground and ate snacks and watched me as I searched. I worked my typical grid pattern in the most probable area for the lost pendant, and I would find little items that I would hand off to the girls. Within an hour of searching I got a hit with my Equinox 800 that sounded really good. My Pro-Pointer handheld located the missing pendant that was pressed gently into the soil after a recent mowing.
I asked the girls who were watching me if their mom could show me a picture of the pendant. We went to the house to talk with their mom, and Cristina brought down her husband’s pendant to show me. It was at this point that I produced her pendant and said that it looks just like the one I found in her yard. Cristina was very happy to have her pendant back in her hands, and she was very appreciative of my efforts.
I have to say that this was one of my most enjoyable searches. Cristina’s family was so nice, and it really was heartwarming to see how close they are with each other. To top it off, we talked for a while before I left and she and her husband and I have a lot in common with each other. Thank you for reaching out to me, Cristina. I was glad to help find your lost pendant. By the way, those home grown veggies were awesome!

Mike was an absolutely pleasure to meet and such a blessing!
My husband and I had matching gold and silver pendants made from the cast of a coin he received from his Marine chaplain before a deployment almost 20 years ago.
I’ve worn it every day ever since it was made with the exception of surgeries or repairs to the clasp.
When the clasp failed this time and I lost the pendant, I spent a week searching for it with a friend’s metal detector and thought it was lost forever. With each day that passed I felt its loss more profoundly. As a last effort I did a google search to see what else I could do to attempt to locate it and the ring finders website came up. Mike was the closest person to our house listed in the search feature.
Mike was quick to respond to my inquiry and promptly came out when our schedules allowed it. He was so kind and was enthusiastic to find something that was so special to us.
Within an hour, my eldest daughter came to me and said Mike needed to see my husband’s matching pendant to have an idea of what it looked like. I brought it to him thinking he needed it for reference. When I showed it to him, he held his left hand out which was closed into a fist, slowly opened his hand and asked “so it looked something like this?”
Oh my goodness. Even now it gives me goosebumps and so much joy to think about that moment that something I thought was lost forever was right there in his hand.
Thank you so much, Mike! You are an angel is disguise!
