Lost Ring found and returned in Tahlequah ,Oklahoma

  • from Broken Arrow (Oklahoma, United States)

Received a call from Joe about his wife’s wedding ring 💍 lost in the Illinois river in Tahlequah Oklahoma. (It has been two days since they lost the ring.) He asked do u do shallow water recovery for a wedding ring, I asked how deep joe said 2 foot of water. I said yes I do. Joe and Christina picked me up at 6:00 am as they didn’t live far from me. We got there early and asked if they could get us on the river to float down before the crowd. Off we went every stump were they over turned didn’t look fimiliar I said ok let’s go. We finished and they said what do we need to do matt,I said I think we need to go back to the first stump we stopped at. So we packed up and got in the cayak again. We made it to the first stump again. I started five yards up river and got a very good signal I handed my detector to Christina and she said what is it I said piece of aluminum I think I went under the water and picked up the ring and I said is this your ring here? Christina and Joe said no way I said o yes. We talked for about ten minutes and then we floated back to the drop off point again with the prized possession. Thanks Joe and Christina for the generous reward the trip was fun.
