Received a text from Jordan from Indiana stating he lost his wedding ring last Saturday near buoys 11 and 12 which are close together. He was playing catch with a football and said he threw the football toward the shore while he was in the water and thinks that is when his ring flew off. He is back home in Indiana and found me on the internet.
I went out there on Wednesday and searched the whole beach area and waters edge with no luck. The waves were HUGE and no way you could stand and search in the water.
Today is Thursday and the forecast is for 2 mph winds from the east and when I arrived the lake was almost like glass.
I called Jordan and he gave me more info on what he was doing at the beach. He had also gone out further in the water to the right side of those buoys and no deeper than about 4 ft.
I set up a grid to the right of those buoys and about 9 paces to the right of buoy 11 I hit the sweet sound of gold in about chest deep water. It seems the ring is never in the place you think it should be. I sent Jordan a picture of the ring and asked him if this looked familiar-his comment was, “you are unbelievable”. I took that as a compliment and had a smile on my face all the way home. He is sending me a picture of he and his bride of 3 years to add to this post later. PS The ring is 14K with an inlay of black zirconium.
