Bangor Maine ring lost while mowing grass

  • from Brewer (Maine, United States)

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by Dustin about a Ring lost while on the job. Dustin works for my nephew in the lawn mowing business. He was very sure of the particular house where he lost it and he felt it was in the grass clippings that were discarded into the brush. We made a plan to meet the next morning, even though hard rain was forecast for the day. Just as I got there of course it started to rain. Cold October rain. Dustin arrived and I said let’s Just look at the grass piles real quick and I’ll come back another day. I did take the detector with me though. The first pile of grass I quickly went over it not very thoroughly and I found just common force trash. Second pile was the same. On the third pile, we were getting kind of wet now and there was a trash signal on the very top of the pile. I kicked it off into the lawn and I had Dustin‘s ring. I was totally surprised the numbers weren’t what I was looking for, but a win is a win. Dustin was happy and we weren’t all that wet.
