Tammy sent me a text stating she lost her husband Chris’s wedding ring in about 3 ft of water. She had the ring on her thumb and was throwing a ball to Chris and some of her friends and then she noticed the ring missing.It was Labor Day and about 4:30PM when I get her text, call her back and she said she is now back in Ohio and was visiting friends in Michigan when the ring was lost on Saturday. She gave me all the info on where she was located in relation to land marks etc.
Still enough daylight so I head out to the lake. I get to the beach and as I enter the water this man comes up to me and says they just lost a ring here recently. It turns out he and his wife are the friends and were at the beach with them when the ring was lost.
Very helpful, he shows me where Tammy was standing when she was throwing the ball. In about 5 minutes I get a good signal and the ring is in my scoop. Close to the spot where Tammy was standing. What a way to wrap up the day for Labor Day 2026
