Earlier today, I got a call from a sister of a woman who had lost her wedding ring about three or four years ago. She put her sister on the phone so we could make arrangements for me to come and do a search.

I was able to go over this evening, we met, and she showed me the beautiful flower gardens that she had been planting. She explained that her ring actually had a hinge and latch that may have come open. Also, the gloves that she was wearing had a hole in it caused by the ring, that the ring may have fallen through. The next day, she and her husband rented a metal detector and didn’t have any luck with that. Many friends helped dig and sift for hours with no luck.

I started the search and quickly realized I needed a smaller coil to get in between all the flowers. So I switched coils and that helped, but there was also a lot of metal posts and wire in the flower garden. I finally got good signal and carefully dug down about 3 inches and there was her ring packed with dirt! We all let out some hoots, hollers and cheers, her ring was back where it belongs.

She had also lost her favorite pair of gardening scissors and in just a couple minutes I found those as well.

I got to meet a very sweet and pretty lady, her husband, her sister and her daughter and husband, and several . It’s an awesome day when I can help put smiles on that many faces!
