Nokomis Beach, FL — Engagement Ring Lost in Water Found and Returned!

from Sanibel Island (Florida, United States)

This young lady lost her diamond engagement ring in the Gulf waters of Nokomis Beach just a few hours after her fiancée had proposed.  Many people helped look for the lost ring before darkness set in with no success.  That’s when we received an email and phone call asking for our assistance and arrangements were made to meet the next morning.

Upon our arrival at the beach the next morning, my wife and I met with the couple who had narrowed down the search area where they believed the ring was lost.  The water had been calm overnight and we expressed our confidence in recovering the ring.  Sure enough, within just a few minutes of searching with our detectors, my wife uncovered the lost ring.

With a huge sigh of relief, hugs and smiles were exchanged as the ring was back where it belonged!

While enjoying a relaxing day at the beach, this gentleman’s wedding band fell into the water while playing football.

After searching the internet on how to find a lost ring, our contact information showed up and he and his wife contacted my wife and I for help. We made arrangements to perform the search later that evening.

The couple had previously made plans to meet their family for dinner, so once my wife and I arrived at the location we made sure to stay in constant contact via phone and text messaging.

After about an hour or so into the search, the ring finally appeared in the scoop.  Soon after we made arrangements to meet and we were able to return the ring and capture the attached photo.  The smile says it all!

Fort Myers Beach — Wedding Band Lost in Gulf Waters Found & Returned

from Sanibel Island (Florida, United States)
I lost my platinum wedding band in the ocean at Ft. Myers beach on February 17, 2019. We were throwing a football in the water and I didn’t even realize that the ring had slipped off my finger and frankly, I didn’t know if it was in the water or on the beach and I was crushed after looking and calling everyplace we had been that entire day.
I ran across Craig Ostendorf on the internet while attempting to rent a metal detector on February 19th.
Craig and his wife met me out on the beach that afternoon. Craig told me that he felt the chances of finding my ring were good, though I thought finding that ring in that big ocean after two days was impossible. Long story short Craig and his wife marched out into the surf with their equipment to give it a shot. 30 minutes later they found my ring and I cannot Express the relief and gratitude that I feel for what Craig and his beautiful wife did for me.
I would highly recommend these angels for what they did for me, and they accepted a tip from me but didn’t charge for their services.
I thank you both from the bottom of my heart and I’ll sleep better tonight with my wedding band back on my finger.
Please see the photo of my ring, and again thank you both for what you did for me.

Captiva Island — Ring Lost in Gulf Found and Returned

from Sanibel Island (Florida, United States)

We received a call from a gentleman who had lost his gold wedding band while playing football with his son in knee deep water.  After trying to search for the ring themselves with no success they decided to search the internet to find out how to find a lost ring.  The Ring Finders and my contact information pulled up and he gave us a call.

My wife and I made arrangments to meet them at their gulf side vacation cottage later in the afternoon.

Upon our arrival we gathered our metal detecting gear and we headed out to the beach.  He showed us the area where he and his son were throwing the football and the direction he felt the ring fly off.  Within just a few minutes I heard the nice low gold tone on my metal detector.  Sure enough, the ring was in the scoop!

He and his wife were ecstatic to have the ring back and we are happy to be a part of another successful ring recovery!

Sanibel Island — Diamond and Gold Pendant Found and Returned

from Sanibel Island (Florida, United States)

We received a call from this lovely gal who had lost her 1 carat diamond pendant in the front yard of her home.

While taking her dogs out, the dogs became entangled in their leashes around a tree.  In all the commotion a friend had noticed her chain which was still around her neck had come undone and the pendant had fallen off into the grass below.

Florida grass is very thick and they were unable to locate the diamond pendant.  To make the search even more difficult, there is very little gold on the pendant, so not just any metal detector would be able to locate it.  That’s when we received the call to see if we had the proper metal detecting equipment that would be able detect such a small gold item.

After discussing the situation, my wife and I felt confident we would be able to find the pendant and we made arrangements to stop by on our way home from a weekend getaway—which happened to fall on December 25th.

In less than 10 minutes of searching and much to her surprise, the pendant was found.

It makes us truly happy to see the amazement and skepticism disappear when a once lost item can be found and returned back to the owner!

Fort Myers Beach — Military Ring Lost in Canal Found & Returned

from Sanibel Island (Florida, United States)

While Ben (pictured) and his uncle were working on the dock anchoring and rinsing off the pontoon, Ben’s uncle felt his silver military ring fall off his finger.  Since they could not locate the ring on top of the dock–they realized the only place it could be is under the dock.  After Ben’s unsuccessful attempt to locate the ring himself by snorkeling and feeling around for it in the murky water, he decided to look into renting a metal detector.  While searching the internet for metal detector rentals, he came across our listing under The Ring Finders and decided to give us a call.  A couple days later we met him at the dock and we began our search.  Throughout the years many metal objects had accumulated in the search area.  After several minutes of digging targets that were not the ring–I finally got the high pitched silver signal I was looking for. The lost ring was found!  Even though the ring had started to turn dark after six days in the salt water–a little polishing will make it good as new and Ben’s uncle will be able to wear the ring again with pride.

Our services are available from Captiva Island to Naples area beaches.  Some of the area beaches included are:  Sanibel, Captiva, Fort Myers Beach, Lover’s Key, Dog Beach, Bonita Beach, Wiggins Pass, Clam Pass, Vanderbilt, Naples Pier, etc.
