RECORD TIME! Found Men’s Gold Wedding Band, Conway, S.C.
I got a text message on my phone Sunday, about a lost wedding band in the pine straw. Mark texted for help with his lost wedding band. Jim Wren, (TRF North Myrtle Beach) had also called me as he got a similar text. I called Mark back. He explained how he thought he lost his wedding band but he wasn’t sure. Mark and his wife Kathleen, who have been married for 22 years, were visiting their son at our local Coastal Carolina University. Their son was having a get together last Friday with friends and family. Mark was helping with stringing some lights in the trees when he gave one of the house mates a boost up a tree. He felt that is where the ring most likely to be. When Saturday came he realized his wedding band was missing from his hand. He, his son, and 3 other house mates spent a couple hours raking pine straw and searching the back yard with no luck.
I met Mark at the house an hour after contacting him. I passed by Kathleen sitting in their SUV. I told her to rub her left earlobe to give us luck. Mark and I walked to the back yard as he explained the loss again, and pointed to the tree where he gave a boost to his son’s room mate. As I walked toward the tree I noticed bottle caps and pull tabs on the ground. (College). I stepped away from the area to ground balance my Fisher Gold Bug Pro. After setting some discrimination, I walked to the tree where Mark Was standing. I literally swung the coil twice ( 4 seconds maybe) as a beautiful number 56 showed on my screen. “There it is” I said as Mark reached down to move just a little sand to reveal his wedding band. His eyes grew big and bright as we found his ring that fast. “That’s amazing!” as he thought about the 5 guys looking for the ring the day before. After a couple photos and some chit chat we returned to the driveway to show Kathleen the good news.
Mark, Thank you for the generous reward. 15% will be donated to the Shrine Children’s Hospital “Road Runners”
