1957 Class Ring Lost in Portland – Found and Returned by ‘The Ringfinders’
Patty was working in her yard and while brushing some dirt off she felt her ring come off. She immediately searched the grass then raked the area and looked again – no ring, impossible she thought. She got a metal detector but was still unable to locate her ring; you have to love her determination! 3 days later a friend gave her my ‘The Ringfinders’ contact information. The following day we met, reviewed the day of the loss, and I got to work. Within 2 inches of an in-ground water shutoff my Makro Gold Racer with 4×6 coil alerted on her ring in the thick lush grass. It’s understandable a novice would have passed on the signal thinking it was the valve or the detector was unable to separate the ring from the shutoff valve. Patty was ecstatic to have her ring that she had worn for the past 63 years and the treasured sentiment/memories it holds.
Thank you Patty for the call. I am always happy when I can return such a precious item.
