Josh and his brother Luke were down from Canada to visit their cousins. They decided to visit Clearwater Beach, and after a round of football in the water, Josh realized that his custom-made class ring was no longer on his finger! He went to talk to the lifeguard, who provided him with the contact info for the Suncoast Research and Recovery Club, SRARC.com. While Josh kept a close eye on the area of the suspected loss, Bill Gallant and Mike Shuler loaded up and rushed to Clearwater Beach. They met up with Josh, who directed the hunters into the water, which was now shoulder-deep because of the incoming tide. Within 15 minutes, Josh was looking into the sand scoop at the ring he admitted he had very little hope of seeing again! This was the last day of Josh’s visit, so we’re glad SRARC could help him enjoy the rest of his time here, and return home with the ring that means so much to him!

Shelley was on the beach for her wedding ceremony and her engagement ring was placed in a small box. When the box was opened during the ceremony, the ring was not there. A friend at the wedding found our SRARC Ring Finder’s website and called Howard Metts for Help. Ed Osmar answered the call for help and headed to the beach with the wedding party. In 10 minutes Ed came up with the ring. Shelley will have a great wedding story to share with family and friends!

Ring Lost on Redington Shores. Recovered By SRARC.

Josh and his family were visiting friends at Redington Shores. As he and his daughter were swimming in the deep water in front of the sand bar, his daughter accidentally kicked Josh’s hand, sending his wedding band to the bottom. After unsuccessfully combing through the sand with his toes, Josh considered buying a metal detector. Phil Meyers, the owner of a metal detector shop in Tampa, told him about SRARC and Ringfinders. Josh contacted Joe Szemer, who put out an announcement to the Ringfinder group. Bill Gallant, Ed Osmar, Mike Shuler, and Rob Clarke responded to the site. After about 45 minutes, Ed said he had a very promising signal, and sure enough, it turned out to be Josh’s ring! Josh met the group at the beach, and was beaming when Ed handed him his wedding band!
