I got a text from Dan he lost his ring at the beach early today. Asked if I could come out and if yes he would meet me at Cuposque Beach in Westhampton.  I told him I would meet him there at 4:30.  We agreed on a spot to meet.

When I got there we meet up and walked over to the beach to the area that he lost. When wwe got there he said is is the place, there was someone there that was still there from this morning.  I set up a square out side of the spot where he was sitting.  Started the search making small sweeps of the square.  After two laps I get a very strong signal with something down about 2 inches.  Took me beach scoop and BINGO there was the ring.  He told all of the other beach goers that I found his ring. Many of them clapped.

Taking all the precautions to not loss the ring. When he got out of the water Lauren hand him his watch and could not find the ring. It must have come out with the watch and no one could find it. She asked if I could come out the next day to help find the ring. II asked if they knew the are and the answer was yeas, they even has photo of the location with a flag pole in the distance.  I meet Janet, the mother of Lauren and we walked to the area where Laren meet the two of us.  They took the photo out and lined up the flag pole and the beach.  They had a beach fire the night before and once the area was determined . Now I had to search an area about 50 feet by 75 feet.  About half way into the search got a very strong signal.  Using the beach scoop I found the ring.  Mother and daughter  were both relived to get the ring for the brother-in-law.

Received a call that a ring was lost at Rogers Beach in Westhampton Beach.  I told Howard that I would be there in about an hour.  When I got there I was shown the area that the ring was lost.  I had everyone move their beach chairs away from the area. I did a box search and shortly I found the ring. Howard was very happy and I when on home.

About  o’clock I get another call from Howard to say that the ring came off again and would I come back out to the beach.  I said of course and I left my house.  When I got to the beach Howard said the ring was in the same area as before.  Again I had everyone move there chairs and I did another search.  I found the ring in almost the same spot as my earlier search.  Howard said that this is the first time that  the ring has been off his finger in  years and it happen twice in one day

I received a call from Joann that she was walking her dog and that the leash got caught on her engagement ring and pulled the diamond setting off into the grass.  It was late but I told her I would come out. It was about 7:30 when I got there and she showed me the area that this happen. I searched until dark with no success.

I told her I would be back, it rained the next day and I said I would be out the following day.  I returned and started the search with a new method, using an all metal detecting trick I learned from a friend.  After a short time I found the diamond.  I called Joann and asked her to meet me in the area where the diamond was lost.  I showed her the Diamond and I received a big Hugh.

I was in Hampton Bays just finished finding an I-Phone. I was checking email and messages and saw a text from Jacqueline. She said that last night while taking out the garbage that her ring came off and was in the snow.  I go to directions to the house and headed over there.  While in route I called her and said was on my way, she said that wasn’t home but working in the city.  She told the area that the ring was lost in and that I should call if there was a problem.

There was a lot of snow and ice by the garbage cans as well as a lot of bushes. I searched the area with no luck. I then started in the bushes and they were over grown a little so It was hard getting the detector head into them. After moving the branches in different direction I finally got a signal like ring. on my hands and knees I dug out the ring.  Back at the car I called Jacqueline and told her I found the ring. She said that she would not be out to the house till the weekend.  We agreed to hide the ring in a spot that she could find easily.

Made arrangements to come out Monday mourning.  I got to the house about 11 AM. After speaking to the unhappy couple, I said lets start with the trash as that was mostly to be wear it would be lost. There was about 20 bags of mixed garbage, thank goodness that they had separated the recyclables.

After going through about  15 bags and taking all the bottle tops out, I got a very strong ring signal  Sorting into the area that the signal came from was the rings.  The wife said she probably would never see the rings again, Well that didn’t happy and she was reunited with her wedding rings.
