I received a text from Henry who had lost his wedding ring on New Year’s Day in the parking lot at the Gerald R Ford International Airport. He had returned 3 times to try and locate it with no luck. He and his wife had recently moved to the Grand Rapids area from TX and were desperate to locate his ring which had been his wife’s Great Grandfather’s. It was one of only a few items that her great grandparents were able to escape Poland with during WWII. It was engraved with their wedding date back in 1923. Even though the parking lot had been plowed, I was able to locate it covered in snow after a short search. It was a little dinged up from being run over by the plow but Henry was amazed and elated he had it back to pass on to the next generation.
