Lost Class Ring Found at Sacred Heart in New Orleans

  • from New Orleans (Louisiana, United States)

I received a text from a mother in New Orleans whose daughter had just lost her class ring at the Academy of Sacred Heart Rosary Campus courtyard fountain. With graduation right around the corner, she was understandably devastated.

They initially believed the ring may have fallen into the fountain. After checking, they were able to confirm it wasn’t in the water, which narrowed the search area to the bushes surrounding the fountain. They had already tried using a metal detector, but the old cast-iron structure of the fountain was causing constant signals, making it nearly impossible for them to isolate anything.

Once I arrived on site, I assessed the situation and decided to switch tactics. Instead of relying on a full detector sweep around all that interference, I used my pinpointer and focused directly on the bushes where the ring was most likely to be.

Within a short time, I located the ring sitting in the bushes right next to the fountain, exactly where it must have come off during graduation photos.

Seeing the relief and excitement never gets old. She’ll now have her ring back just in time for graduation and they’re even getting it resized to make sure it stays secure.

Another successful recovery in New Orleans!

If you’ve lost a ring or valuable item, don’t wait, every detail matters, and a focused search can make all the difference.
