Early this morning, I received a text message in regards to helping someone find their lost engagement ring in Vancouver, I replied right away and heard the story about where this young lady believed she had lost her ring. It sounded like it was very likely I was going to recover it, but I’ve been fooled before in thinking the search could be easy and it turns out to be one of the hardest ones. I wouldn’t know until I arrived at the location where the ring was lost.
After arriving and speaking to the young lady and her husband, it sounded likely that I’d find it but it didn’t quite make sense why it would be on the right side when she was coming down the stairs and the ring was on her left hand, but after discussing it a bit more and the way her body position was, I started my search and was able to find it within minutes. Needless to say, the young lady and her husband were very happy and relieved to see that Ring! After speaking to him a bit more I found out that they had bought a metal detector off Amazon and searched for 45 minutes with no luck. I often wonder how many people buy or rent a Detector and give up after not finding it, thinking it’s not there. I’m sure this happens more than I know. The thing about myself and other members on this directory is, we have many many years of Metal Detecting experience, which makes a huge difference in the chance of recovery.
