Ring Lost On Anna Maria Island, Recovered By SRARC
Matt, his wife Tracey and Chris, his wife Amy came down from Indiana to enjoy Fall break with their children here in Florida. Chris and family went to Orlando to investigate the theme parks and Matt and family came to Anna Maria Island. Since they were friends, Matt invited Chris and family for a day at the beach. After they arrived from Orlando, both families headed together to the beach. They got settled on the sand and Matt and Chris headed out into the water and started throwing a football back and forth. On one of the throws, Chriss saw and felt his Gold and Platinum wedding ring fly of his finger. He knew right where it went into the water so he stood right there. They searched and searched but in the end could not find the ring. Later that evening Chris and family had to return to Orlando without his ring. Later that evening Matt googled “lost Rings on Anna Maria” and found SRARC Ring Finders. He contacted Joe Szemer who contacted Mike Miller who then did a callout for hunters. Mike Shuler, Dane Trask, and Mike all came together and meet Matt at the location the ring was lost. They got the information about where the ring was lost and went to work. About 20 minutes later Mike Miller got the sweet sound of Platinum in his ears and up came the lost ring in his scoop. There were lots if smiles as we waked back into the beach with the ring held high in the air. We don’t know when Chris will find out he has had his ring returned because we understand his wife Amy has some trickery planned, but we are sure he will end up with a great big smile on his face too.
Ring Lost On Siesta Key Beach, Florida, Recovered By SRARC
Deb was at Siesta Key beach on a girls weekend enjoying the sun and sand. They laid out their beach towels and helped each other put suntan lotion on for protection. They talked and went for a walk and when they came back one of Deb’s friends grabbed her towel and shook the sand off. There were three rings on the towel and they all flew off in different directions. When they realized what had just happened panic followed as they frantically searched in the sand for the rings and in a short time they had recovered two of the lost rings. They continued to search but with no result. Later, Deb found SRARC Ring Finders on the internet and contacted Howard Metts. When Howard put out the call Mike Miller was just passing through the area and diverted to the lost ring location. After a few minutes of hunting, the ring was found and returned to a very happy Deb.

Scott and his Laurie came to their favorite spot on Anna Maria Island from Brandon to enjoy their 39th wedding anniversary at the beach. They set up their chairs at the edge of the tide line and just relaxed for a couple hours and then decided to take a walk down the beach.. After returning, Scott noticed his ring finger was swollen so he decided to remove his wedding ring and put on his little finger. They stayed a few more hours and then headed home. After arriving home, Scott noticed his ring was gone. Thinking back he remembered hearing a tink sound while setting in the chair and came to the conclusion that it must have been his ring hitting the chair. They headed back to the spot the next morning with rakes and shovels to try and find the ring. They had no luck but as they worked a local beach gower asked what they were doing. When she discovered it was a lost ring she directed them to the SRARC Ring Finders. They called Joe Szemer and Joe called Mike Miller to meet them right away while they were still at the beach. It took just a minute for Mike to find the ring and return it to a very happy couple.Gold Cross Lost On Holmes Beach, Recovered By SRARC

Rachel was spending the afternoon with her family at Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island. She had set her chair right at the edge of the water and was just enjoying the water lapping at her feet. When it came time to head home she stood up and walked a few feet towards the parking lot, then noticed the chain that held her gold cross was broken. She told me, “my beloved cross I’ve had since I was 16, came off my chain. I bought it with my own money after I started working at the movies” and now it is gone. They all searched the area for an hour and a half but could not find it. They finally left the beach with heavy hearts as it became dark and returned home to Brandon. The next day she asked for help in several metal detecting groups on Facebook. SRARC ring finders contacted her and soon we had Dane Trask headed to the beach for a recovery. Dane called Rachel from the beach and got detailed instructions and the hunt was on. After a quick hunt Dane pulled the cross from the sand. A short time later Dane met Rachel and family to return the cross. As you can see, Rachel was overjoyed to have her beloved cross back on her neck and Dane looks pretty pleased as well.

Georgia and Scott were visiting from Orlando. They came to see his parents for Memorial Day Weekend. They were all out at Anna Maria island for the day on Sunday and his dad and Scott were tossing the football around in the water. Scott felt the ring come off when he dove to catch the ball. They immediately started looking for it and grabbed some goggles from people nearby but had no luck. They found out about SRARC Ring Finders from a nearby camp and called and emailed in to Howard. They have been married for 1 year as of March 1st so the ring is very special to them and Georgia was very upset Scott had lost it. The next day Mike Schuler, Bill Gallant, Dane Trask, and Mike Miller met them at the beach. After getting instructions the hunters took to the water. In about 30 minutes Dane (on his first hunt with the Ring Finders) found the ring, Scott and Georgia couldn’t believe that we were actually going to find it. They said “They were so nice and helpful. THEY ARE THE BEST!!! Thank you again so much for helping us find it!!!” Congratulations to Dane on his first recovery and welcome the SRARC. We are very happy to have been able to return the ring to Scott and enjoyed both his and Georgia’s big smiles.

Gregg and Heather living in Bradenton, spent the day trimming trees, leveling ground, and setting up an above ground swimming pool in their back yard. As the day came to an end Gregg discovered his treasured ring missing. They searched and searched but with no result. After reluctantly ending their search, Heather did a search for metal detectors on the internet and up popped SRARC Ring Finders. She contacted Joe Szemer and he did a callout. Mike Miller took the call and made arrangements to meet Heather the next day. Heather laid out the area she thought the ring would be in and Mike went to work. About 15 minutes later Mike heard the clear signal and there the ring sat barely visible under a leaf. Mike returned the ring to Heather and she assured him that Gregg would be overjoyed to have it back on is finger. We did not get to see the smile on Gregg’s face, but from past experience we know it will be a big one.
