Sam was adjusting her headband during a workout when she felt her earring stud pop out. She was able to catch the small back piece but not the stud itself. As the loyal Cross Fitter Sam is, she kept the workout going! Replacing this set of Disney Mickey Mouse earrings would not be easy. Sam loves Disney, and these sentimental earrings are the tokens that keep her close to the Kingdom even when she’s 1000 miles away. Sam knew where she was when the earring fell, so we began the search after the workout. Mickey must have gone flying because 10 minutes into the search, I ended up find the earring 30 feet from where we started. Mickey is safe and sound back on Sam’s ear, where he’ll hopefully live out the rest of his years!

Lost Ring Doing Yard Work in East Hartford, Connecticut… Found!

A gentleman contacted me about losing his ring while doing yard work in East Hartford, Connecticut. Before calling me, he and his friends spent hours on their hands and knees searching the yard for the lost ring. They even used their metal detectors to search the yard – no luck. The last memory of the ring was placing it in his pocket just before beginning the yard work.

Once I arrived to discuss the situation, he explained how he got off the mower in a few different places throughout the yard. He couldn’t exactly remember where but he mentioned the mower getting stuck a couple of times. I began looking for soft spots and sunken areas in the grass where the mower could have gotten stuck. I was thinking maybe the ring fell out of his pocket while getting off the mower. One of the first places to catch my eye was a disturbed clod of grass with fresh dirt exposed. I scanned the spot, and immediately a loud signal rang through my metal detector! I found the ring just under the exposed soil next to the clod of grass! Metal Detecting Service – How to Find a Lost Earring – Stamford, CT

As a couple arrived for a dinner party, they had no idea they were about to experience the terrible feeling of losing a sentimental possession that was handed down from mother to daughter. There is good news, though. Stepping out of the car and hearing the “ping, ping” of the earring bouncing off the car door told us that the earring is in the car door’s general location. Once I finally arrived, the couple showed me the approximate location of the area under the car door when the earring fell. After only minutes of searching, the couple was reunited with their earring!

Finding an earring is no easy task, but this particular earring was a larger one, and the grass was well manicured, both of which are to my advantage. Most earrings are small and challenging for the average metal detector to sense. Metal Detecting Service – Men’s Platinum Wedding Band – Newtown, CT

A recent call from Newtown sparked a sunrise trip across the state of Connecticut. Once I arrived, a family member walked me around the property discussing all the potential places the lost ring could be hiding. On this particular search, it was entirely unknown if the ring was outdoors, but after searching in multiple locations, the ring turned up in a grassy area where the gentleman and his kids played. Another opportunity to reunite a person with a sentimental possession!

Most searches fall into one or two categories. Either you know where the wedding band is lost, or you don’t.
