Lost Ring Longboat Key, Recovered By SRARC
Carlos and family joined the extended family for a reunion on Longboat Key this week. They were enjoying the day on the beach and in the early afternoon decided to toss a football around in the water. As Carlos tossed the ball he saw his wedding ring fly off his finger and disappear into the gulf. The whole family searched for a couple hours but could not find it. After giving up the search they all came together at a local restaurant for dinner. Harold, Carlos’s uncle, started asking the waiters if there was someone local that had a metal detector. They soon learned about SRARC ring finders and Harold found us on the internet and called. A meet was setup for the following morning and Mike Miller showed up to try his luck. Carlos knew right where it came off and after a few minutes of hunting up came the ring. It was soon returned to Carlos’s finger amid lots of cheers and smiles. It’s always a great feeling when we get to return a precious item to the owner.

Glasses Lost On Siesta Key Beach Are Recovered By SRARC
The McCoy family met friends on Siesta Key Beach to enjoy the sunset and Forth of July fireworks. As they visited, the kids were all hard at play. As they packed up to leave for home they noticed that Porter’s glasses were missing. When they asked him where they were he had no idea. They searched and dug in the sand several different times but could never find them. The decided Porter must have buried them in a hole. Jenna contacted Joe Szemer at SRARC and a hunt was scheduled for July 7, 2019. Corey met Paul Hill and Mike Miller at the site and defined the area to be hunted. Paul and Mike went right to work and after about 10 minutes Mike found them just below the surface. We are ever so happy to have Porter’s glasses back in his possession for the upcoming trip to Yosemite.

Ring Lost in Sarasota is Recovered by SRARC
Last year we had a very successful recovery where we returned 5 rings and two watches out of one yard. A year later, Renee called us back after being absent from her home for a few months and discovering on her return that several jewelry items were missing. She was hoping that they had been thrown into the yard again. Mike Miller and Carl Boekemier hunted for several hours and determined that none of the missing items were in the yard. We did recover one Man’s wedding ring which had ben lost years earlier. Now we can say we recovered 6 rings and 2 watches from the same yard. We also want to wish Renee good luck on finding her missing items one of which was the Rolex watch we recovered on our first hunt.

Ring Lost on Siesta Key is Recovered by SRARC
The dreaded ring in the chair trick is no match for our Ringfinders!

Rick and his wife were down from North Georgia near Atlanta enjoying the
wonderful beaches near Siesta Key. Rick’s wife took off her wedding band
and put it in the beach chair for safe keeping. When they were ready to
go they scooped up the chair, shook off the sand and headed for the
condo. Only to realize the ring was back on the beach. Rick found SRARC
online and made the call. Just so happens Mike Miller and Paul Hill were
less then a half mile away looking for another lost ring. They were
about ready to leave because the surf was too rough to hunt due to the
storms out in the gulf. They headed right over and were met by Rick
immediately. He took them to the spot were he thought they had set up on
the day before. The search began. Within 3 minutes Paul had the ring in
his scoop. Rick was amazed and truly shocked that they had recovered his
wife’s matching wedding band. He actually wiped a tear from his eye.
It just doesn’t get any better then that!

Lost Ring On Longboat Key Recovered by SRARC
Liz’s best friend Alicia visited with her family from Orlando over Memorial Day weekend. The two families decided to go to the beach to watch the sunset and then have dinner at St Armand’s Circle. When they arrived at St Armand’s it was so crowded that they decided to drive further up to Longboat Key to find a place to watch the sunset. They found a public access area where they could park and unloaded the car and kids and walked out to the beach. The children got busy right away and played in the sand until it was time to go. Johnny, Liz’s husband picked up their daughter Mackenzie and took her to the waters edge to clean the sand off of her hands and arms. After she was clean Johnny brushed his hands off on his pants and felt his wedding ring fall off into the water and disappear. They looked but had no luck so they headed home. The next day they rented a metal detector but still had no luck. A few days later, they found SRARC on the Ring Finders site. Howard put out a call and Mike Miller responded and soon arrangements were made to meet at the site. Liz arrived a little late and Mike had already recovered the ring before she got there. Liz was overjoyed as you can see in the picture. It has been a tough week for the family and the return of the ring was a big relief. Our best wishes for a rapid recovery of Johnny from his upcoming surgery.

Wedding Band Lost At Longboat Key Recovered By SRARC
Vicki was on Longboat Key out to get a suntan while visiting her mother for her 87th birthday celebration. She took off her three wedding rings to apply suntan lotion and promptly forgot about them. Later when back in the condo she realized her rings were missing. It was almost dark so she raced out to where she had been sitting and was lucky to find two of the missing rings. After spending hours looking for the last ring her friend Genger, googled “lost ring longboat key” and up came SRARC ring finders. Vicki kind of scoffed at the idea but Genger persisted and arrangements were made for a hunt. Joe Borg, Nick Hall, and Mike Miller arrived on the scene and soon the hunt was in full swing, After a short time Mike got the hit and up came the missing ring. Vicki was overjoyed and off she went with a great big smile to her mother’s 87th birthday dinner celebration.

Lost Ring Recovered on Siesta Key
Tyler and his wife came down to Siesta Key from Omaha for a break from the winter weather. On Friday evening they went into the gulf for their last swim before returning home on Saturday morning. They stopped to rest for a moment and as the stood in waist deep water Tyler watched as hi wedding ring slipped from his finger. They searched without finding the ring and finally had to give up. They flew home the next morning and Tyler searched for help and found SRARC. He contacted Joe Szemer and a hunt was organized. After Mike Shuler and Mike Miller hunted on Monday and Tuesday mornings the ring finally turned up in Mike Miller’s scoop. Were happy that we were able to find and return Tyler’s ring and wish he and his wife all the best.
