lost ring in Ithaca NY Tag | The Ring Finders

I was contacted by Matt for his lost wedding band.  He had been doing work in his backyard including putting contents in his compost pile.  He noticed he had lost his ring and obviously wanted it back.  He searched his yard and compost pile to no avail.  He also bought a detector and tried finding it but couldn’t find it.  He finally went to the web and searched for help.  He found The Ring Finders.  I agreed to give it a try even though it would be a 2 hour drive for me.  It was cold that day, so I dressed for the weather and headed there.  Matt was nice enough to help in that he scattered the compost pile around so I could check thru it.  He said he was 80-90% sure it was in there somewhere.  After about 30 minutes I decided it was not in there.  I told him I would check the rest of the backyard where he only felt there was a 10-20% chance I would find it.  After about another 15 minutes I found it.  I was surprised to find out later that they were moving out in another week.  He was so great full that I had found it before he had to leave and would never see it again.
