Gucci Gold in the Fremont, CA Grass

  • from Portland (Oregon, United States)

Larry’s son Jack was playing with his kids in the back yard, bouncing a beach ball in the air, when he noticed his ring was missing! While touring Iraq as a US Marine, Jack had saved up for this special ring. Jack and the kids looked and looked in the lush deep grass but could not find it.

Being a sharp guy, Larry made a very smart move and Googled “lost ring” and quickly found my colleague Dave Millman in Saratoga. As Dave was just setting out on another Great American West cross-country adventure with his family, he advised Larry to contact me.

Luckily I was able to respond within a few days and met Larry at his front door. We quickly retired to the scene of the loss in the back yard, where Larry demonstrated the motions made by his son bouncing the beach ball in the air.

Due to Larry’s precise reenactment, in the second sweep of my detector, in the fastest recovery of my career as Ring Finder, I was able to locate Jack’s Gucci gold ring, buried deep in the lush grass, invisible from above, in less than 60 seconds.

Gucci Gold!

Larry, the smart Dad, the good Dad, shows off his son’s valuable personal

keepsake, on a very sunny and happy day in Fremont, California.

Son Jack will be home from work in a few hours.

Matching Custom Wedding Ring Recovered in Golden Gate Park

  • from Portland (Oregon, United States)

Michael was reading on his favorite bench in the Fuschia Dell area of Golden Gate Park when an annoying fly began buzzing him. After swatting at the fly with his left hand, he realized his wedding ring had flown off into the grass around his bench.

Michael searched and searched the area for his ring but could not find it. He and his partner returned the next day, but were again unsuccessful in locating the ring.

You might think a silver wedding band is not too expensive and could be easily replaced. But this heavy silver ring was part of a matching pair of custom wedding bands created over 30 years ago!

A friend of theirs found THE RING FINDERS on the Internet and recommended me to the guys. I was able to get out the next evening, and after 40 minutes searching the broad landing zone to the left of Michael’s bench, I finally located his beautiful oak leaf cluster silver ring, deep in the green grass, right in front of his favorite bench.

Beautiful matching oak leaf designs, together again!

Platinum Wedding Band Recovered from Deep Ivy Patch in Glen Park, San Francisco, CA 94131

  • from Portland (Oregon, United States)

Another case of throwing a ball for a dog. While whipping a tennis ball down his street for his dog Rudy, off goes Dave’s wedding band into the thick ivy. Of course the ring immediately disappears from view, and gravity takes over.

Dave knew his ring was made of platinum, and had a pretty good idea of where it went in. I set my detector for platinum mode and went to work. I was able to locate Dave’s ring in about 10 minutes, about 14 inches down from the top of the ivy.
