Lost Wedding Ring Found and Returned on Bellaire Beach, Florida

Katie called SRARC in desperation asking if anyone could help her find her lost wedding ring. She told Tom Jones that she had put both her rings on a shirt and while cleaning her child’s glasses she inadvertently picked up the shirt causing both rings to fall into the loose sand. She dug around and found her engagement ring but could not find her wedding band. After getting some information from Katie, Tom called Ed Osmar and asked if he and Rick Magyar could meet her at the beach and do a search for the ring. Ed met up with Rick and they called Katie and headed out.

45 minutes after Tom had call Ed his phone rang and it was Ed calling. Upon answering Tom was surprised that the voice he heard was not Ed but Katie saying “Tom, thank you so much for hooking me up with this wonderful man.” Rick had found and returned her cherished ring.

Two Rings Found and Returned at Weekii Watchee Springs

Caroline and her sister Katy along with several other cousins all gathered at Katy’s house for the holidays. On Monday January 3rd they decided it would be fun to go up to Weekii Watchee Springs state park and see the mermaids perform. After the show they spent some additional time walking around the park and soon it was getting so warm they decided to go for a swim in the spring. Caroline went into the changing room and changed into her swimming suit. She covered herself with sun screen and in the process removed her rings and put them into her short’s pocket and then put them on over her swim suit. After looking around a little more they headed over to the beach and found a picnic table to store their things on. Caroline removed her shorts and laid them on the table then headed off to the water. After swimming for a while they returned to the table and Caroline found her shorts with the keys fallen out of the pocket but thought nothing of it. They finished their day and headed home. After returning home she discovered both of her rings were missing. She and her sister rushed back to the park and searched in the sand under the table but could not find anything. One of Caroline’s cousins remembered hearing about The Ring Finders and suggested she try finding someone to help. She found the SRARC Ring Finders Service and contacted Mike Miller. Mike put out a request to the team and they all met at the site the next day. As the team entered the park (Paul Hill, Ed Osmar, Rick Magyar, Mike Shuler and Mike), the gate attendant mentioned that they had just found a ring. We waited until Caroline arrived and they had her describe her lost engagement ring and sure enough it was hers. We all congratulated her and began to step away when she mentioned that the engagement ring was the only one that was important so don’t worry about the other ring she had lost. We said “No Way” we came all this way to hunt so let’s go see if we can find it. We discovered that the engagement ring was found nowhere near where she thought she had lost it and there was no sandy area in that location. We decided to split up with Caroline and Paul heading to the location that the engagement ring had been found and the rest of us, with Katy as our guide, headed to the beach area by the picnic table. After searching the sand around the picnic table for a short time Mike got a call from Paul and he informed us that Caroline had found the second ring. The boat Captain who found the engagement ring saw them looking and he showed them exactly where he had found it lodged between two dock planks. Caroline looked off to the side in the dirt and spotted the other ring right away. We think she reached into her pocket for something and the rings popped out as she pulled out maybe her keys. Whatever, we are very happy she has her rings again and that we were able to give her moral support until they were returned to her fingers again.
When we left the park we all had great big smiles on our faces!!!!!!!!!!!

Wedding Ring Lost, Found, and Returned on Sand Key, Florida

Dale was at the beach fishing on the evening after Thanksgiving. He had baited several of the hooks on his poles and placed them spaced out along the beach. He returned to his tackle box and grabbed his hand rag to wipe the bait slime from his hands. Soon he had a nibble which cleaned the bait off one of his hooks. He rebaited the hook and wiped off his hands again and so it went through the night.

A few hours later Dale decided to head for home. He picked up all his poles and gear, loaded it into his vehicle and jumped into the front seat. He then noticed his wedding ring was missing. Since it was dark he decided to return in the morning to look for it. He came back with a sand sifter and shovel and sifted through all the sand he thought the ring might be hidden in. After an hour or so he gave up. When he returned home without his ring his wife was not a happy camper!!!. She found SRARC Ring Finders on Facebook and sent Paul Hill a message. Paul responded and a short time later Dale called Mike Miller. Mike contacted Mike Shuler who thought he would be able to fit a hunt into his schedule. He called Dale to try and schedule a time to meet but they were not able to connect except the next morning. Dale’s wife was very concerned that it would be too late by then so he called Mike Miller back to see if he could help out.

Mike agreed to go out right away and headed for Clearwater. About an hour later Dale, Mike, and Jeffery Miller met at the location where the ring had been lost. After searching the general area the Dale laid out for about 30 minutes the ring was recovered.

SRARC is always happy to bring smiles to faces of those who have lost something valuable to them and also to help keep peace in the family.

School Ring Lost, Found, and Returned on Clearwater Beach, Florida

During the month of October 2016, SRARC Ring Finders member Mark Sillence was metal detecting at Clearwater Beach, Florida and in one foot of water obtained a strong signal. Up from the scoop, laid a beautiful school ring with a genuine ruby center gemstone. Mark obtained the following information from the ring: Rugby; State Champion; and bearing the name of Dani Dieringer. Browsing the web, Mark obtained Dani’s Facebook page and left her a message. However, it did not appear Dani was on Facebook that often. Mark continued his search and located the web site of the Rugby Team and contacted one of the coaches whom in turn, reached out to Dani. Dani stated that while enjoying the sun at the beach on September 21, 2016, she lost the ring while in the water. The ring was subsequently returned to a very happy Dani, whom thought the ring was forever lost.

Sentimental Ring Lost, Found and Returned on North Redington Beach

Laura and her family were down from Crystal River to enjoy some free time together and frolic in the warm gulf waters. She was out in the water about knee deep and getting ready to sit on her float. As she leaned back to sit, the float slipped away and as she threw her arms back to catch herself She felt her special Diamond ring fly off of her finger.

The whole family searched frantically but could not find the ring. One of the family members, Kathlyn, did a google search and soon found SRARC on The Ring Finders site. She called Mike Miller and they set an appointment for the next morning at 7:00 am. Mike, Stan Flack, Mark Sillence, Mike Shuler, and Ed Osmar showed up and went right to work in the area defined by Laura. After about 30 minutes Mike Shuler indicated he had the ring. As Mike walked up the beach toward Laura holding the ring out to her she burst out into tears of joy.

We were all excited for Laura as was her whole family. It was our pleasure to see the joyful smiles that broke out when the ring was returned. Nice work Mike!!!!!! This is Mike’s first return with the SRARC team and I think he was just as happy as Laura. Congratulations Mike.

Wedding Ring Lost, Found and Returned at Clearwater Beach, Florida

Marco and his wife were in town from Miami vacationing in St. Petersburg when they decided to spend the day at Clearwater Beach.  Marco was doing some digging in the sand and decided that it would be best to give his wife his wedding ring for safe keeping.  She put the ring in their beach bag and they went about enjoying the beach until a storm swept in rapidly and they were forced to leave the beach in a hurry.  When they got to the car, they discovered Marco’s ring was missing.  Fortunately for Marco, the valet at the Hyatt is very aware of the SRARC’s ring finder team and told Marco’s to call on them.  Marco called Tom jones who passed on to team member Stan Flack to see if we could locate the ring.  By now it was dark so with Marco and his wife leaving the next day, Stan suggested a very early morning hunt and the two met on Clearwater beach at 6 a.m.  Unfortunately the place marker Marco had left of where they had been was now gone, but a few clues were still there including Marco’s eye for detail on a few beach trash items he remembered seeing.  A little daylight, a little deducing on a path of travel, and a dash of luck and Stan had the ring in his scoop in about 20 minutes.  A stunned Marco was very happy to have his ring back with smiles and high fives all the way around.

Special Ring Lost at Clearwater Beach then Found and Returned

Elizabeth, her husband Jonas and son Elias are on holiday from Helsingborg Sweden and ready to enjoy all that Florida has to offer.  The water was warm and welcoming as Elizabeth swished her hands in the clear blue Gulf of Mexico.  As she lifted her hands up she realized that the ring her husband had gotten in Thailand and given to her 16 years ago was gone.  Heartbroken, they searched for hours with no luck.  That is when they went online and contacted Mike Miller.  Mike contacted Paul Hill who he knew was off today and available for a rapid response.  He made his way to Clearwater Beach and met up with Elizabeth.  Paul looked at his watch, 3:29, picked his north to south line based on some questions he asked and on tide information that he had be given by Mike on the drive over.  Thirty or so feet later he got a solid 12-27 signal, presenting his scoop to Elizabeth she reached in and retrieved her white gold and ruby ring then almost knocked Paul over with big hug.  Quick look at his watch…3:34.  The happy family headed back up to the beach ready to enjoy the rest of their 3 week vacation!
SRARC is very happy that we were able to help and wish them safe travels back home.

Madeira Beach Wedding Ring Lost and Found, Then returned by SRARC

Dan was at the beach on Madeira Beach with his family enjoying the water when he realized that his ring was lose and decided to take it off and put it on a larger finger. When he took it off he fumbled it and it fell into the water and it disappeared in the sand. At this time Dan used good logic and had his father in law stand in the spot so Dan could triangulate some land marks to make it easier to locate the spot.

He Googled metal detector rental and found SRARC. He called Stan Flack who was just finishing a hunt on Sand Key Beech and Stan told him he would be there as soon as possible. Stan was joined by Ed Osmar and the two started hunting. Within 10 minutes Stan found the ring and returned it to a very happy Dan.

Wedding Ring Lost, Found and Returned on Clearwater Beach, Florida

Jason and his wife were visiting St, Petersburg from Walton, KY. While here they decided to take the family to Clearwater Beach for the day. Upon arriving at the beach they took some pictures then decided to go in the water. Jason walked out into the water about knee deep and at that time his wife asked him if he should take his ring off to make sure he didn’t   loose it. At that time he looked down and it was already gone. They went back to their umbrella and looked at the pictures they had just taken and sure enough it was on his finger right before he went in the water.

After looking for the ring for some time they reluctantly got in the car and headed back to St. Petersburg. Jason was broken hearted because he would never see his wedding band again. That afternoon he decided to search the internet to see if there was someone that could hunt for the ring. He found the ringfinders.com and contacted Tom Jones. Tom told Jason to meet him at Clearwater Beach at 6:30 that same evening.

Tom, Ed Osmar, and Dimitur Alipiev met the couple at the beach and started hunting. As the three were searching the water Ed noticed the couple standing in the water about 20 yards north of the area they had indicated the ring was lost. Ed thought, I bet that is where they really lost it. Moments after he reach the spot Ed called out “is it silver colored?” Jason and his wife ran over and she read the inscription inside the band and yelled out “Oh my God that is it”. After a round of hugs for all, the couple left the beach to enjoy the rest of their vacation that was destined to be a bad memory but now has a “great story” as Jason puts it. Watch Lost and Found, Then Returned at One Tree Island Clearwater, Florida

Robert’s Watch was lost as he jumped from the aft of his boat and caught it on the edge. He and a boating buddy had been enjoying the day playing on the island when the boat began drifting away from the shore so he quickly jumped in to push it back in. The watch was a gift from his wife and very important to him. They tried snorkeling for it but after a few days decided to ask for help. They found SRARC on The Ring Finders and contacted Mike Miller. After an unsuccessful hunt Mike told them he would look for a good low tide day and schedule another hunt. For two weeks Robert and his wife scuba dived the area looking for the watch. Three weeks later a great low tide appeared and the SRARC team showed up for the hunt. Robert and His wife ferried all 8 of them out to the island. The team, Jerry and Debbie Schneider, Paul Hill, Howard Metts, Dimitur Alipiev, Mark Sillence, Joe Montione, and Mike went to work. About 45 minutes later Jerry and Debbie shouted “we found it”. We all joined in and called Robert over so we could return his watch. As you can see there were lots of smiles. Congratulations Jerry and Debbie on a great recovery.
