School Ring Lost, Found, and Returned on Clearwater Beach, Florida

During the month of October 2016, SRARC Ring Finders member Mark Sillence was metal detecting at Clearwater Beach, Florida and in one foot of water obtained a strong signal. Up from the scoop, laid a beautiful school ring with a genuine ruby center gemstone. Mark obtained the following information from the ring: Rugby; State Champion; and bearing the name of Dani Dieringer. Browsing the web, Mark obtained Dani’s Facebook page and left her a message. However, it did not appear Dani was on Facebook that often. Mark continued his search and located the web site of the Rugby Team and contacted one of the coaches whom in turn, reached out to Dani. Dani stated that while enjoying the sun at the beach on September 21, 2016, she lost the ring while in the water. The ring was subsequently returned to a very happy Dani, whom thought the ring was forever lost.

Heirloom Wedding Ring Lost, Found, and Returned at Fred Howard Park Florida

Jennifer along with her husband and son had spent a day at Fred Howard Park Beach on Labor Day weekend.  After putting suntan lotion on, her husband and son snorkeled over the grass flats looking for fish.  Some time during their swim his ring which was handed down to him from Jennifer’s grandparents from Germany slipped off.  Mike Miller asked Howard Metts to set up a hunt which included members Mark Silence, Jim Adams, Bill Galant, Mike Shuler, Ed Osmar, and Howard Metts.  It had been over a month since the ring was lost so expectations were not high.  Ten minutes into the Hunt Howard Metts found a  gold ring and brought it to shore were Jeanine Metts and Gerri Adams could read the inscription verifying this was the lost ring.  Jennifer is meeting with Howard and Jeanine on Thursday Oct 20 in Tampa to retrieve her husbands ring.

Great Job Team !!!!!! You make us very proud.

Engagement Ring Lost Found and Returned on Clearwater Beach

Savanna was staying at Clearwater Beach with her fiancé and his family from Odessa for the weekend. They were tossing a football back and forth when her engagement ring flew off her hand and buried itself in the sand. Michael (her Father in Law) found us on The Ring Finders and called Mike Miller with a plea for help at 8:00 pm. Mike Called Ed Osmar to see if he could respond right away and he said he could. Ed headed out and by 9:00 pm he called Mike to report he had recovered the ring. As you can see in the picture both Savanna and Ed were pretty happy about the return of her ring. Great Job Ed !!!!!!!!

Diamond Pendant Found and Returned in Dunedin, Florida

Sandy was working in her garden when a fly started annoying her. She swatted at the fly and accidently hooked into her 3 diamond pendant and sent it flying into the flower garden somewhere. She rented a metal detector and had no luck finding her pendant. She then contacted SRARC and Howard Metts went to the home to search for the pendant. Howard started hunting with his detector but soon realized that he would have to use a pinpointer to hunt through the flower bushes. After 20 minutes or so he came up with the pendant which has 3 heart shaped diamonds each representing one of her three children. Sandy was so excited to get the pendant back, especially since her family will be moving out of the home in the near future and she did want to leave her precious pendant behind.

Special Ring Lost at Clearwater Beach then Found and Returned

Elizabeth, her husband Jonas and son Elias are on holiday from Helsingborg Sweden and ready to enjoy all that Florida has to offer.  The water was warm and welcoming as Elizabeth swished her hands in the clear blue Gulf of Mexico.  As she lifted her hands up she realized that the ring her husband had gotten in Thailand and given to her 16 years ago was gone.  Heartbroken, they searched for hours with no luck.  That is when they went online and contacted Mike Miller.  Mike contacted Paul Hill who he knew was off today and available for a rapid response.  He made his way to Clearwater Beach and met up with Elizabeth.  Paul looked at his watch, 3:29, picked his north to south line based on some questions he asked and on tide information that he had be given by Mike on the drive over.  Thirty or so feet later he got a solid 12-27 signal, presenting his scoop to Elizabeth she reached in and retrieved her white gold and ruby ring then almost knocked Paul over with big hug.  Quick look at his watch…3:34.  The happy family headed back up to the beach ready to enjoy the rest of their 3 week vacation!

Gold and Diamond Engagement Ring Lost, Recovered, and Returned at Fred Howard Beach in Tarpon Springs

Brittany was at Fred Howard Park in Tarpon Springs enjoying the day with family. She put her engagement ring on her bag so she could put sunscreen on her daughter. She looked up to see her young daughter running towards the water. When it was time to leave she forgot that the ring was on the bag. Packed up and headed home. Realizing later that the ring was gone she was… devistated. A friend of hers heard about it and contacted his friend and SRARC member Mark Prue. Mark couldn’t get away so he contacted another member Stan Flack. Stan and his wife Linda headed up to the beach to search. After an hour drive it only took 10 minutes for Stan to recover and reunite it with Brittney.
SRARC wishes her and her future husband all the best and are happy that we could make the journey a little bit smoother!
