Michael was visiting family from Australia, over the Memorial Day weekend. The weather was nice and the house was right on the South River. Playing frisbe and tossing a football around in the shallow waters of the river, Michael noticed his wedding ring was gone. With only two days before heading back to Australia, he started looking on the internet. He found the “Ringfinders” website, found me, and gave me a call. I met him within an hour and I started searching. Not knowing where he lost it, I did a grid pattern hoping to come across it. I noticed Michael was standing in waste deep water off to my right. As I made my way over to him, I lifted my earphones and he said that he was standing right here when he noticed his ring was missing. I swung the coil and about a foot in front of him, I got a strong signal. I said, “don’t move”. On the second scoop, the signal was gone, I knew I had it. Buried in the mud in my sccop, was that beautiful sight of a gold ring. Big smiles as I handed it to him. He said it was the middle of the night in Australia and he hadn’t called his wife. Well, Michael doesn’t have to think about his ring sitting at the bottom of a river half way around the world. He is so glad he found the website and this service.
