Lost Wedding Ring at Leadbetter Beach/Santa Barbara------Found

  • from Santa Barbara (California, United States)

On august 24, 2014 I received a text from Erik Peterson regarding his lost wedding ring. He lives in Santa Barbara and was at the beach surfing. Being very careful not to lose his ring he put it in a zippered pocket of a beach chair. When he returned home the ring was gone. He was sure it had fallen out when he picked up the chair to leave. Erik found me on Craig’s list and when I called him back we decided to meet at 10:00 AM at the beach. Since he was close to the water when the tide was low and I arrived when the tide was receding from high, it made it a little difficult to pinpoint exactly where he lost it. While I was hunting in the first location he suggested, he continued to recheck where he thought it was and set up markers around it. After over two hours it seemed unlikely we would find it, but Erik persisted and asked me to check a little more. Less than ten feet later I found the ring. 2014-08-24 13.18.402014-08-24 13.18.26   I was then taken to a restaurant and not only did I have a nice meal I also had the pleasure of meeting his lovely wife. Obviously we all went home happy.

Nice work, I post on Craigslist here in Houston, but have never had a contact through those means to my knowledge. I guess there is something to be said Craigslist after all, keep up the good work
