I received Seth’s email on the 5th of July requesting my assistance in finding his platinum wedding ring. The ring had slipped off of his hand while swimming in about 5 feet of water near the dock at his cabin over the Independence Day holiday weekend. Seth’s cabin, located just North of Brainerd, Minnesota, made for about a two hour drive for me but I was up for the adventure and the challenge.
Upon arriving to the cabin, Seth took me to the end of the dock and directed me to the area in which he was swimming when he noticed his ring was gone. Using my Minelab Excalibur, I hopped in the water and after roughly 20 minutes caught the tone in my headphones that I knew was a platinum ring. It was such a distinct tone that I had Seth hear it from the docks too. Sure enough I pulled the platinum wedding band from the water and returned it to its rightful owner. I was glad I could make the trip to help Seth out!
