Got a call from Linda tuesday at work said her husband lost his wedding ring while playing in the swimming  pool with the kids .  I asked her if they looked in the pool she said yes and even the skimmer yes on that also.  Her husband had to leave town on business..  He got home later that night and to no ring as darkness was  on us… Now three days later Linda texted me again asked if i could come and check her neighbors yard- searched for bout an hour and said let’s go try your yard again..  This time instead of going to the left and going over what i did tuesday i went to the right.  His wife told me he rented a metal detector from a local shop with no luck. It always best to find someone in your area that is experienced with a metal detector that can help you out as soon as possible and get the lost ring back were it belongs..  Got started with a grid search went to the back fence and back towards the house  and got a good signal by the porch bent down and there it was saying you found me  picked it up Tom didnt see me and said i needed to go to my truck went thru the house and showed his wife.. She couldnt believe it..  I got my camera out and acted like nothing happened at this time tom was inside the house getting something to drink..  i asked Linda to go get tom so i could ask him what his wedding ring looked like again..  He looked down and when he did i said does it look like this one — tears flowed from Linda and Tom..  I asked him how he felt and said he didnt think it was never to be seen again thanks for the very generous reward Tom&Linda

  1. Good find and good story…

  2. Linda and Tom Angleton says:

A huge THANK YOU to Matt for finding my husband’s wedding ring. My husband, Tom, had been playing volleyball in the pool during our grandson’s 19th birthday party. When Tom noticed that his ring was gone, the playing stopped and a search of the pool and grounds around the pool was started. After everyone left, we borrowed a metal detector, but had no luck finding the ring. We rented a machine the next day thinking that it might be better. Still no luck finding the ring. We decided to try Ring Finder and found Matt. I contacted Matt to see if he might come over to see if he would have better luck. While Tom was out of town for the day, Matt came over and spent 2 1/2 hours in the sweltering heat of the afternoon. Unfortunately, he didn’t have any luck either and didn’t really want to stop looking, but it was too hot to continue and it was getting late. He said that he would come back when we could get in the neighbors back yard. Although we didn’t hold out much hope, we called Matt on Friday and asked if he could come back. He searched the neighbors yard and found nothing. He then came back in our yard and searched again. After about an hour of looking, Matt came in the house and asked me if the ring he was holding looked familiar. I could not believe my eyes. He had found the ring! He wanted to surprise Tom and also wanted to get a recording of Tom getting the ring back so he went out to the car to get his camera. When he showed Tom the ring, tears filled all of our eyes. What a moment! Thanks to Matt for doing what he does best. We would never have found the ring without his help. By the way, Tom wanted everyone to know that the ring was 70 feet from where he had been playing volleyball in the pool. We are definitely Ring Finder believers and would recommend Matt to anyone. What a great guy.
