Yesterday, I had a call from Colin about his lost platinum wedding band.
He told me that he had been doing quite a bit of landscaping and gardening last Friday and at the end of the day noticed he was no longer wearing his wedding band.
After looking in the areas where he had been gardening and not being able to find his ring, Colin’s wife got on the internet and started searching for metal detectors and eventually found me.
I was able to meet up with Colin this morning at his beautiful home in Mississauga and he led me though the events of last Friday.
After getting a few more details, we began to eliminate the most probably areas one at a time and eventually wound up in a smaller garden at the back of the house. After moving some metal items out of the way, I began searching around some plants that had been transplanted last Friday and began to get a few targets.
After a few rusty nails, I got a really nice rounded signal in my headphones and reached for my pinpointer.
After digging down about three inches into the loose topsoil, Colin’s beautiful platinum ring popped into view.
I called over to Colin to show him exactly where his ring had been sleeping under the stars for the last few nights and then took a few photos.
We spent a few minutes chatting and I was on my way.
Thank you Colin for the nice reward and it was a pleasure meeting you and your family.
Glad I was able to help out today.
