I had a call from Eddie a few days ago about his wife Jennifer’s lost engagement ring.
Eddie told me that they had attended a family reunion last weekend in Orangeville, Ontario when Jennifer’s ring was lost.
At one point during the evening, Jennifer removed her engagement ring to help out with doing some dishes in the kitchen and Eddie took her ring and started playing around with it.
As some other family members had to leave, they needed Eddie to move his car from the driveway and park it on the street. So, Eddie put the engagement ring onto his pinky finger and went and moved his car. After parking on the snowy street, he walked back into the house and then noticed he was no longer wearing the ring.
Everyone started looking on the driveway and street for the ring with no luck.
Eddie then went and bought two different metal detectors and tried to find the ring himself, again no luck.
This is when he found me online.
I was able to meet Eddie this afternoon in Orangeville and got a few more details and grabbed my gear.
I searched the entire area of the street where he had moved his car onto and found a few junk targets under the snow.
We then started on the driveway and after about one minute I got a great, rounded signal in my headphones.
After pinpointing the area and digging down in the snow about an inch, there was Jennifer’s beautiful engagement ring.
Eddie was pretty excited to see the ring again.
I’ve never had a man hug in my life like that to be honest.
My back still hurts a little.
Glad I could help out today Eddie. You’re a great guy and I’m sure Jennifer will be relieved to see her ring again.
