Angela called me this morning about her lost wedding band.
She told me that she was playing with her kids in her backyard this past weekend, and at one point was pushing her daughter on a swing set.
As her daughter was swinging back towards Angela, Angela flicked her daughter’s long hair with her fingers and felt her wedding band go flying off.
I was able to make it up to Angela’s home in Stouffville later on this afternoon and got a few more details about last weekend.
As the yard was fairly small I thought I would scan it quickly with my metal detector and if we weren’t having any luck, I’d get her to duplicate the action from last weekend with a test ring.
After scanning the obvious areas in the yard with no luck we decided to set up a few test throws.
Angela’s test throws were nearly hitting a wooden fence a surprising distance away from the swing set.
After a few throws were landing in the same area I started to scan along the bottom of the wooden fence and not a minute into it, I got a great signal in my headphones.
After pin-pointing the area and moving some grass aside, there was Angela’s beautiful gold and diamond wedding band.
This was a fun search and the good old test rings saved the day again.
Thank you Angela for the generous reward.
It was really nice to meet you today.
