I had a call really early this morning from Sarah, who was pretty stressed out about her lost diamond eternity ring.
Sarah, her husband and friends were at the beach yesterday enjoying some of this incredible weather we are having here in Toronto.
At one point during the day, Sarah had taken off her white gold and diamond eternity ring to apply some sunblock, setting the ring down beside her for a minute and then was briefly distracted.
After spending some more time at the beach, Sarah and her husband returned home. This is when she realized she was not wearing her ring. They raced back to the beach and searched for quite some time with no luck.
After calling me first thing this morning, I headed down to the beach and met with Sarah about an hour later. As soon as we met, we saw a gentleman already detecting in the same general area where the ring was lost.
I had Sarah give me the exaggerated parameters of the search site so I could start a grid search as she went to ask the other detectorist if he had found a ring in the area. He didn’t, so I knew we had a good chance of finding it.
I continued the grid search for about 45 minutes and was getting nervously close to the far west perimeter with no ring yet and the beach was already starting to fill with people. In fact, they were now laying down over the east part of my grid that I had just finished.
Then, all of a sudden, that sweet sound of a ring under the search coil. Yes.!! We had it.
I waved Sarah over and the look on her face was fantastic.!! Relief, joy and excitement all rolled into one.
Great seeing the ring back on your finger..!!
Glad I could help you out today.
Thank you so much for the generous reward today Sarah. I really appreciate it and it helps keep me doing what I love to do.
