When Trent and his wife were preparing to go fishing in a pond, their small boat capsized and they both ended up in the water. Once he gained control of the situation and exited the pond, he noticed his wedding ring was missing. He and his friends tried to find the ring with their hands in the mud with no luck. Trent said he even borrowed someone’s metal detector in an attempt to find it. He then did a search on the internet, found my contact information, and contacted me by email. We set up a place and time to meet the next day. When we arrived at the pond, I donned my waders and stepped into the area where the boat capsized. There was about six inches or more of mud on the bottom which made the searching somewhat difficult. After several pull tabs, an old fishing reel, and some pieces of foil, I got a good solid signal near the shore where he said he exited the pond. I dumped the scoopful of mud containing the target unto the shore. Trent began sifting through the mud and I soon heard him yell excitedly, “here it is!” He said he just got married last June and was very happy to get his ring back.
