Finding A Platinum Wedding Band

  • from Indianapolis (Indiana, United States)

Lost Platinum Wedding Band found in Indianapolis, IN on April 14, 2021. On Thursday, April 8th, Justin M was working in a muddy flower bed in his backyard. He had been digging in the mud it was adhering to his hands and fingers. He was also tossing bricks from the flower bed to an area near his fence. Later that day as he was cleaning the mud from his hands he noticed that his wedding band was no longer on his finger. He purchased a beginner metal detector in hopes of finding it himself but was unable to make a recovery. I received a call from him on Monday, April 12th. There had been more hard rain over the weekend and he was concerned that the ring may have been washed under the fence into a ditch in the yard next door or stepped on and buried in the mud. About an hour and 45 minutes and a several small pieces of metallic foil later, I was about 10 feet from the flower bed near the fence when my ATMax came up with a 51 signal in the VID scale. There had been several similar signals earlier but this time it was the ring and as you can see in the picture below, it is back on Justin’s finger.
