I received a call last Saturday night from Randy asking me if I would be willing to find his wife’s wedding ring. He went on to tell me that he was taking his wife to the airport and as they drove down the road his wife threw a banana peel out the window and her ring went flying out with it. Randy then rented a metal detector and searched around 9 hours in the 2 day rental with no luck finding the ring. He finally turned to the internet and found my last blog and searched TheRingFinders website for someone that could help him. After receiving his call and getting all the info that I needed I drove the 3 plus hours to Fleetwood, NC. I enjoyed the drive up and looking at all the awesome colors of the leaves that were painted on the hills. The search area is beside a road and had power lines running above the area that I needed to search, so I needed to make my detector run smoother by adjusting my settings lower. After that it was just working the roadside bank and waiting till I found the signal I was looking for. Several people stopped to talk to Randy about what I was looking for, and just then I found the ring. It took me about 20 minutes. I really enjoy helping people and enjoyed this search. Thanks to my wife for taking pictures and shooting some video. Randy put me in a great area and thats what made the recovery so quick.
