Diamond Ring lost in Syracuse NY. -- FOUND

  • from Syracuse (New York, United States)

Friday, March 2nd, late afternoon. My wife and myself are getting ready to visit my sister to have supper and spend the evening with her. I had just stepped out of the shower when my wife hands me the phone and on the other end is a young lady named Aieisia. She has lost her ring while entering a local restaurant. She had looked for her ring but the snow had “ate” her ring. To paraphrase a movie saying, “Who do you call — “The Ring Finders”” I have to look for this ring NOW because if I don’t find it before the snow melts, someone else will find the ring and put it on their finger. I pack up my gear into my wife’s car and off we go. I did call my sister on the way to explain why we will be a little late. Here is the video of my successful hunt for Aieisia’s ring.

Nice video and great results under difficult conditions.

Thank you, THANK YOU…THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU for finding my ring!!! It meant the world to me!! I’m crying tears of joy watching this video!!!

    1. Aieisi. I must complement you because you did everything right. First you looked for yourself using snow melting salt etc., and then when you realized that the snow had swallowed your ring you went to your phone, search for help on how to find your ring, and then called IMMEDIATELY. Had you not called immediately, when the snow stopped and the restaurant salted and shoveled the ramp, the ring would have been found by someone else, and I’m sorry to say most people would have not even tried to find you. Your very welcome, and thanks again for the finders fee. Enjoy your grandmothers ring and continue to add to the memories carried in her ring.

In 1987/1988 my husband (then boyfriend) was playing basketball at Nottingham High School. He was wearing my Liverpool High School class of 1987 ring with a sapphire stone. Someone accidentally grabbed his chain, it broke and my ring went flying into some brush. My father bought me that ring and it meant a lot to me. My name was inscribed in the ring… Janine Zerrillo. If someone where to find it I would be so grateful.
