Lost Ring Found Ko Olina Resort
I received a call from Clay and Lora on a Wednesday afternoon. They told me they just got married 72 hours ago and just arrived at the Marriott Ko Olina Resort. After getting settled in, they decided to go for a swim in the lagoon. After about 15 minutes in the water, Clay’s ring came off his finger.
I made arrangements to meet them around 5:00 pm and searched until about 8:00 pm and no ring, so we determined that they may have been swimming at low tide, and the tide was high at the time. Lora was so upset that every time I found something in my scoop, she would start to cry, or it looked that way. There was no way I was giving up, so I came back Saturday morning at low tide, and my friend Joe that’s also a ring finder was there looking for a ring for his client and walked up and said, is this the ring you’re looking for. Apparently, Joe’s friend was helping him that day and found it in deep water.
So after about 4 hours of driving and 3 hours hunting, we had the ring back on Clay’s finger.
Thanks to Joe’s friend, we had a little time to kill, so we headed off to the bar for a few Pina Coladas and Mai Tais.
It was an absolute pleasure meeting and helping Clay and Lora find the ring.
