Found 3 lost wedding rings in Vero Beach Florida

  • from St. John's (Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada)

I took my Garrett ACE 350 metal detector on vacation to Florida in hopes that I could locate something of interest and in the first 10 minutes of a visit to one of the beaches in Vero I found 3 nice rings.  Would love to find the owners!

Found an SD camera card – saved a family vacation memory in Clarenville, Newfoundland

  • from St. John's (Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada)

My kids and I were searching Sandy Pond beach in Terra Nova, Newfoundland and we discovered an SD storage card.  When I got home I carefully removed the sand that was “caked in,” loaded it in my computer and saw almost 2,800 family vacation, wedding and party photos!  Sifting through the clues we zoned in on a photo of a wedding booklet for a couple married this past July, with only their first names.  Thanks to the internet, their online gift registry and many phone calls we reunited the card with some very thankful owners!  Paying it forward is cool; the gentleman is a professional balloon artist and is insisting on giving my kids a party as thanks!  We’re happy that 2,800 irreplacable memories weren’t lost.

Found a lost car key in Paradise, Newfoundland!

  • from St. John's (Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada)

This call out wasn’t as scientific as I had hoped, but nonetheless the owner was reunited with her $500 Toyota car key.  I searched the area with no luck and went to home to scour online for a “found” posting.  I found a possible match, contacted the poster and then let the car owner know where to pick it up.  She was happy that I was thorough and that it didn’t take long to help her get it back.  Another happy client!

Cheers!

Found a lost wedding ring in Kelligrews, Newfoundland!

  • from St. John's (Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada)

I received a call from a gentleman (Phil) who said that his wife lost her wedding ring in a dog park in Kelligrews, NL.  She had been there the night before, put her wedding ring into her pocket with the doggy-doo bags and when she reached for a bag, accidentally pulled out the ring and didn’t realize it.  I arrived at the park with Phil and within 15 minutes of grid-searching, picked up a ring.  The look on his face told me that it was his wife’s.  This is such a rewarding service….

Well, I decided to take this metal detecting “hobby” to the next level.  In joining RingFinders, I’m hoping to get more involved in helping people find their lost treasures, whether it’s jewelery, keepsakes lost, property markers – you name it.  The thrill is in the search and only surpassed by the feeling when you return it to its rightful owner.  I’m anxious to help out my fellow Newfoundlanders so give me a call!
