A late night text followed by an early morning phone call to ‘The Ring Finders’ resulted in finding Brandon’s lost wedding band. While playing with his kids at a nearby school Brandon removed his wedding band and placed it in his jeans pocket for safe keeping but prior to leaving the ring was missing. A night time search by family with flashlights, in hopes of seeing the shiny object, was unsuccessful. A family internet search for options led them to me and the following morning I was on site. Time can be critical to recovery & return when a ring is lost in a public place. As I surveyed the expanse of the field and followed Brandon’s description of play locations I was sure the non-standard 3″x18″ search coil on my detector was the best tool for the job. Fortunately, Brandon made some quick work for me when he stood, within feet, of where he thought his ring might be due to lying on and rolling in the grass. What could have been hours was less than two minutes, rare but true. Even when the detector sounded off I was unable to see it hidden deep near the roots without the assistance of my pinpointer.
What a great day for all… sunny, found and returned a sentimental ring, smiles & thank you’s, and I met some nice folks. Oh, and the dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts (fundraiser) for the trip home was a nice treat; saved a couple for breakfast. 😉
‘The Ring Finders’, good folks doing great things to reunite people with their sentimental jewelry!
