How to find a wedding ring in the Willamette River… Call The Ring Finders.
A conversation with Paige raised some concerns but we agreed that it would be best if I conducted a search of the area for her ring. About one week ago, while playing with her son in the river, her wedding ring slipped off her finger. She hired a man with a mask to conduct a visual search but he was unsuccessful. He said his friend had a metal detector but she hadn’t heard back from them; her first concern. Another person inquired via email about the ad she placed and she gave them the specific location of the loss but hadn’t heard anything back from them either; her second concern. Later, in her effort to find a metal detector, she received an email reply with a link to ‘The Ring Finders’; hence our Monday afternoon conversation. Even though Paige had some doubts her ring may no longer be there I assured her that I would either find it or, if not, she will have some closure. We met the following day and I got to work with my Equinox 800 & Xtreme scoop in hand. A little over an hour later and with quite a bit of trash in my pouch I finally had Paige’s ring in my scoop.
Tears of joy flowed freely while she held her ring so I offered her a comforting hug which she promptly accepted; back off Covid Police, I’ve had my shots!
Thank you Paige for the call. Your persistence to use all resources to recover your valuable keepsake paid off. All my best to you and your family.
