When I joined THERINGFINDERS.com I never expected to have too many calls being that I live on a small Island in the San Juan Islands in Washington State. How wrong I was! Recently I was contacted by a man in Seattle who was visiting Orcas Island and had his Platinum wedding ring slip off his finger as he crossed the street. He looked for several hours before having to leave on the next ferry for the mainland. On the web, he found THERINGFINDERS and was surprised that there was a member who lived on Orcas. He contacted me and discussed where and when he lost his prescious wedding ring. I knew the spot well and said I’d go right to work looking. I stood where he said he had crossed the street and reinacted his steps. I started with my Garrett AT pro metal detector and after getting several nice sounding hits, I got down on my hands and knees with my Garrett pin pionter pro and within 15 minutes found the ring lodged under a rock which was covered by a large plant. WOW! My first wedding ring find through The Ring Finders. I contacted the owner by phone and he was over joyed to say the least. I mailed it back, registered and insured. Later that week I received a nice note and a very nice reward. So I actually received 2 rewards, I think the best one was being able to get his cherished wedding ring back to him. I am grateful to be part of an organization like Chris Turners Ring Finders! Here’s a photo of the exquisite Patinum/Palladium wedding ring.
