Another Successful Ring Recovery at Sanibel Island, Florida

  • from Sanibel Island (Florida, United States)

On Monday, January 19, 2015, I received a call from Thomas and Leslie Miller requesting my help to locate Leslie’image images missing diamond and platinum wedding band.

The Miller family had been enjoying the day at Sanibel Island Lighthouse and Beach until Leslie discovered her precious ring was missing.  Leslie had removed the wedding set from her hand and safely stowed the rings and her camera phone in a pocket to apply sunscreen to her son.  As time passed, Leslie forgot about the rings in her pocket and after reaching into her pocket several times to get her phone to snap photos, she realized her band was missing somewhere in the loose beach sand.

I made arrangements to meet them later in the evening.  Equipped with my metal detecting gear and a headlamp, I was ready for the late evening search.  Within the first half hour of searching, the beautiful ring was found and returned to Leslie’s finger where it belongs!

Part of the success of this ring find can be attributed to the couple’s attention to detail / landmarks of the beach area where they presumed the ring was lost.

Nice that it only took 30 minutes to find the ring…Some searches like that could have taken hours! You have to love it when people make notes & reference to where the ring was lost…Way to go!

  2. The circumstances sounded like a nightmare in the making. Fortunately, it turned out to be dream come true. Good work. Happy customers.
