Well, I made this ladies day for sure. She and her Fiancé were removing trees from their property a few days ago. During the removal, she took her engagement ring off and asked her fiancé to hold it for her until they were done. Instead of putting it away, he slipped it onto his pinky finger temporarily. While on his finger, it came off and he didn’t realize it until later in the day and had no indication of where exactly it may have dropped in the yard. Part of the area they were working in, sloped downhill into the woods behind their house with tons of leaves and fresh mud readily available.
I went out to their place yesterday with my Nox 800 and had no luck. I assured them I’d be back today and had searched again and just about gave up. I asked if there were any other areas that she could remember that he was in that I didn’t search. She recalled that at one point, her fiancé threw a strap around a tree at the edge of the woods. I hadn’t searched the opposite side of that area at all so I went in there and started sweeping the metal detector. Within the last few feet of area left, I got a ping that rang up Gold numbers and it showed that it was right on top of the ground. There were tons of leaves and other things there so I got out my handheld sensor probe and was able to pull it outta the leaves. To say she was happy was an understatement as she was standing there when I found it. She started to cry and gave me a huge hug. I’m so glad I was successful and I know this will certainly be something they’ll both never forget about. This is why I belong to The Ring Finders!
