Cost For My Service

I work on a reward basis. You only pay what you can afford and what you think the recovery is worth. 50% of the reward is payed to an agreed upon charity.

I have a call out fee of $25 for some areas if the ring is not found, this covers my fuel expenses. We can discuss this when you call.

Search Types

Parks, lakes, streams, yards . . . I can search in up to about waist deep fresh water (water temperature permitting). I can search year around on land. I will require that proper permission is obtained to search on the property in question.

Search Locations

I live in Cumberland County so can easily meet in and around this area. For work I often travel to Allentown Pennsylvania and I have relatives in the Wilkes-Barre area so I may be able to meet in other locations. Feel free to contact me to see if I can travel to your area. Time permitting I would be happy to help.

Patrick Herman's Bio

By profession, I work in the software development industry. As a hobby, I have been metal detecting since 2005. I typically search for things of interest / relics, not necessarily valuable items. I love the mystery of determining the identity of what I have found, and why it was left there. Finding a thimble, a colonial era button, a round ball, or a hand carved lead sinker takes me back in time 25, 50, 100, 200 years and connects me to a place, person, or way of life I can only begin to appreciate through this recovered item. I look for every chance I can get to metal detect while maintaining a good balance of spending time with my family.

If you lost any metallic object that has meaning or value to you, I would love to help you recover that item.
