John Chapman's Bio

I've been metal detecting for 30 years, primarily for Civil War relics and early house sites in the Lower Shenandoah Valley and Upper Potomac regions of the Eastern Panhandle of WV. I've presented and spoken about my finds to numerous school and Civil War groups over the years, and some of my finds have been pictured in publications such as North South Trader's Civil War and American Digger Magazine. I'm experienced in the use of many types of detectors and currently use the XP Deus as my primary machine, with the Minelab Equinox 800 and Garrett AT Gold as my backup and water detectors.
